Description of Roles
Updated over a week ago

With Amploo, you get a full spectrum of both default functions and custom settings that allow you to change your working area the way you like.

A role is a certain grouping of permissions for a user, which are usually adjusted and configured by the Admin, and you can use our pre-set roles, or create and adjust them up to your company's needs.

What pre-set roles do we offer?

At Amploo, we offer the following user roles:

Admin - manages teams, employees, all projects of all teams, as well as account settings.

Manager - manages users and employees

Employee - usually this is an employee or any user of the company

Candidate - is a trainee role with limited rights. As an employee of the company, you can only view the sections Home page (Homepage), Adjustments (Adjustments), see teams, company holidays, workspaces, and users.

Guest - sees only limited information, such as workspaces, and projects, without editing rights.

Please note, that you can add your own roles for your company with unique rights for each role.

You can manage the roles just here, in the Settings tab on the left sidebar:

While clicking on one of the pre-set role, you will see the list of permissions and you can edit it, add or remove the permissions up to your needs. after changes are made, don't forget to click on "Update role" button to save them:

How to add a new role?

You may easily add your own role by clicking on “Add role” on the upper right corner:

Enter the name for the role, select permissions (certain rights), and click on “Create role” to finish.

Then a newly created role appears in your list.

How to give a role to a certain employee?

After all needed roles have been created and permissions for them are selected, we can stick this role to a certain employee.

So on the left sidebar, we go to Employees, - click on the account, and click on Edit:

and there we go to their account "Work" section and define their role. For example, here we give a role "Admin":

And when all changes are made, don't forget to click on "Update work" to apply them.
