Amploo Editor offers easy tools for articles: create headings, tables, lists, add embed media, etc. Type "/" for quick options and actions.

Overview

To start working with a page, just click on the "Edit button", and you will see our easy-to-use editor that will assist you in writing articles:

The editor will help you to:

  • divide your text into paragraphs (Headings);

  • make the text bold/italic and other;

  • you may align the text to the side you need;

  • choose the background color;

  • set the block width;

  • make the bullet or ordered list;

  • add blocks of codes;

  • share links;

  • add videos, audio files;

  • add tables;

  • add files;

To see all options, type "/" on the page and you will see the menu:

The Headings

While creating the content you may highlight the main sections of your pages, and split them with headings.

Our Knowledge Base supports all sizes of headings (1-4). Click on the Paragraph on the Text editor menu and choose the one you need:

Making text bold, italic, and other styles

To make text bold or italic, select a fragment of a text and click the "B" or "I" on the Editor menu:

If you click on the three dots menu you will see additional options: underline, strike, subscript, super superscript. To use one of these options, just highlight the necessary part of the text and choose it:

Text Aligning

The default text alignment is set to the left side, but you can easily change it the way you need by clicking the "Align text" button:

Text Highlighting

When you want to emphasize some blocks of text with some color, you may click on the "Background color" button and choose the color you like, it will color the underlay and the text as well:

Block Width

It is set the "normal width" by default, but you can regulate it for some parts of the text or set it for the whole page with this button:

Creating Ordered and Bulletlist

You can create ordered (1., 2., 3., …) and bullet ( • ) lists.

Creating lists starts just like all other formatting options – by selecting a text fragment and choosing one of the following icons:

Also, you may create a bullet list by typing "/" and selecting the "List" option.

Adding code blocks

The code block feature supports inserting and editing code blocks with the assigned programming language. Just type "/" on the page and choose the "Code block" option or click on this item to insert the "code field":

Creating Hyperlinks

Hyperlinks allow you to transform a fragment of text into a clickable link.

You can create a hyperlink by clicking the "link" button on the Editor menu.

There appears a window where you paste the necessary link and edit the text displayed:

Creating Tables

This is very easy to create tables with Amploo. Сlick on the "Table" icon on the editor's menu or type "/" and choose there "Table":

And the additional menu will appear. There you can manage the number of rows and columns, toggle the header row, column, or cell, and other options:

How to regulate the size of the columns?

You can regulate the size of columns by clicking and holding the left mouse button and moving it left or right:

How to edit the text in the table?

You can use the same options to edit the text in the table's columns.

Just highlight the necessary part of the text and click the "B" or "I" on the Editor menu make it bold or italic, or click on the dots menu to see other options to underline, strike, subscript, or superscript the text:

You can also make the text colorful with the help of the "Background color" item. Just highlight the necessary part of the text and choose the color you require:

And also, you can edit the table itself.

How to add additional columns?

Some options are available to insert new columns either before or after the current column, where your cursor is placed.

If you want to insert a new column before the current one, just click on "Add column before":

And if you need to insert a new column after the current one, click on the button "Add column after":

How to remove unnecessary columns?

If you need to remove some columns, just place the cursor on the required one to make it active, and click on "Delete column":

How to add additional rows?

To insert a row above the current one, place your cursor on the desired row and click "Add row before":

To insert a row below the current one, place the your cursor on this row and on "Add row after":

How to remove unnecessary rows?

To remove a row, place the cursor on the one you want to remove , and click on "Delete row":

How to merge/split cells?

Just select the necessary cells with the pressed Shift button and then click on the "Merge" item:

You can split the cells in the same way, by clicking on the "Split cell" item:

You can also use "Merge/Split cell" item for this purpose, just don't forget to select the necessary cells for this action:

How to apply a header style to certain cells in a table?

To make the first row look like a header, place your cursor on it and click on "Toggle header row":

To add a header style to the column left , place your cursor there and click on "Toggle header column":

To apply a header style to any other cell, just navigate there with a cursor to make it active, and click on "Toggle header cell":

How to delete a table?

You can remove a table created by clicking on the "bin" item:

In-line images and media

Amploo Editor supports Embeds so that you can upload some interactive content directly here by pasting links to YouTube, Figma, Miro, etc.

This is very convenient as you can add a link to Miro's presentation, for example, and view it directly from the Knowledge Base or upload a Youtube video to the page and watch it. To insert it, just copy a link and paste it to the page and now you can view it, watch, or work:

You can also insert any image, video or audio with the help of "/" menu.

Type "/" and select the file you want to upload from your PC.

Creating blocks of Quotations

You can easily add Quotes to your text with the help of our editor menu "/"

Just type "/" and select "Blockquote" and the quote will be separated into the section:

Creating Checklists

A checklist is a structured list of items, tasks, or steps that must be completed, reviewed, or verified. You can easily add such lists to your pages.

Just type "/" and choose there "Tasks":

Once the task or action is completed, simply tick it to mark done.

Space separating

To improve readability and organization you may use "Horizontal rule" option.

It is often used to create a separation or division between sections.

Just type "/" and choose there "Horizontal rule":

Adding Call to Action blocks

You can add a separate "Call to action block" that will be highlighted for the reader to see important information:

To add it, type "/" and choose there "Call to action"; you may also choose the colour of the block:

You can customize the default emojis to match your preferences:
